When you enable the LinkedIn Audience Network for your Sponsored Content campaigns, you can exclude certain categories of publishers and include or exclude specific third-party sites and apps so that you can choose the apps and sites that your content appears on. When creating a new campaign, you’ll need to use Advanced Mode to manage delivery preferences for the LinkedIn Audience Network.
You can customize your ad delivery on the LinkedIn Audience Network by excluding publishers by Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) category when you create or edit a single image, carousel, document, or video ad campaign. You can also include or exclude specific websites and apps by uploading a custom allowlist or blocklist.
You can exclude certain categories of websites and apps from LinkedIn Audience Network delivery when you create a new Sponsored Content campaign.
To exclude websites and apps by IAB category:

Sign in to Campaign Manager.

If you need to switch accounts, click the account name in the upper-left corner of the page and select the correct account name from the dropdown.

Click the correct campaign group name.

Click the Create
button below the Campaign Groups tab, then select Campaign from the dropdown. -
Add a Campaign name and designate a Campaign group or create a new one in the upper left corner of the page by clicking the Edit icons.

Select your campaign objective and continue with the campaign creation flow.

Complete the proceeding steps. Once you’re on the Ad format section please select Single image, Carousel image, Document, or Video.
- In the Placement section LinkedIn Audience Network is automatically enabled.

Click Show Audience Network advanced options and select Exclude categories.

Type the category name in the text field and click the checkbox next to the correct subcategory from the list. You can also click See full list and make your selection(s) that way.
- Category blocking relies on how our partners and publishers set up blocking so the categories publishers align to may adjust by campaign.

Important to know
To include or exclude specific sites or apps, you can upload an allowlist or blocklist as a .CSV or .TXT file when you enable the LinkedIn Audience Network for a new campaign.
To upload a custom publisher list:

Click Download publisher list to review the list of publishers that the LinkedIn Audience Network comprises.

Create a CSV or TXT file with the sites and apps you want to include or exclude from your LinkedIn Audience Network ad delivery using this template.

Save the list as a .CSV or .TXT file.

Sign in to Campaign Manager.

If you need to switch accounts, click the account name in the upper-left corner of the page and select the correct account name from the dropdown.

Click
Plan on the left menu, then click Brand safety. -
Click the Upload list button.

Name your list.

Select your list type: Block list or allow list

Click Select file.

Click Upload.
You can verify if your custom publisher list has been successfully uploaded under the Status column. If there are errors in the list, you'll need to edit your list, resave, and reupload the completed template in the publisher list modal.

You can upload a list containing up to 100,000 website domains, iTunes App Store URLs, or Android play Store URLs you want to allow or block.

If you want to allow or block a publisher that has a website domain and mobile app, make sure to include all domain and app URL information for the publisher in your blocklist to effectively block it across all channels.

It may take up to 48 hours for our system to process your uploaded allowlist or blocklist and apply it to your campaign.

Once you have uploaded an allowlist or blocklist for LinkedIn Audience Network, it will be available to apply to any LinkedIn Audience Network-enabled campaign.

Campaign reach, scale, performance can be impacted by the list of publishers that are allowed or blocked.
Once you've uploaded custom publisher lists in Campaign Manager, you can access and manage your saved lists from the Brand Safety dropdown.
To manage your saved blocklists:

Sign in to Campaign Manager.

If you need to switch accounts, click the account name in the upper-left corner of the page and select the correct account name from the dropdown.

Click
Plan on the left menu, then click Brand safety. -
Click the
More icon to the right of the publisher list and select Edit, Download, or Delete from the dropdown.
Note: You can edit the name of the custom publisher list using the Edit feature. If you want to edit the sites included in the list, you'll need to re-save an updated version of the publisher list template and re-upload it to Campaign Manager.
