WATCH: Video shows Smithville area tornado blowing around large debris

Two tornadoes were confirmed in Central Texas Tuesday morning.

SMITHVILLE, Texas — Editor's note: The above video is of the confirmed tornado in the Upton, Texas area.

A tornado was confirmed in the Cedar Creek area near Smithville, Texas, Tuesday morning – and KVUE Chief Meteorologist Albert Ramon said one of the videos sent to him is one of the best tornado clips he's seen in years.

Derek Crunk sent Albert this video of the tornado on Tuesday:

An area of low pressure spinning to the northwest of the area on Tuesday pinwheeled arms of showers and storms across the area. Although the winds at the surface were off the Gulf of Mexico out of the southeast, the area of low pressure allowed for winds aloft to be out of the southwest and west.

That veering, or turning, of winds with height produced the spin in the atmosphere that contributed to the development of tornadoes.
