Monday brings fog, scattered rain and warmer temperatures

Temperatures to climb near 10 degrees warmer than Sunday.

AUSTIN, Texas — Monday will begin a substantial warming trend that lasts through the middle of the upcoming week.

By Tuesday afternoon, highs will be in the 80s. By Wednesday afternoon,some could be pushing 90 degrees.

The weather pattern looks drier for Tuesday and Wednesday, but not necessarily completely dry with scattered showers and storms still possible.

By Thursday, a cold front will be sweeping through Central Texas. This will bring more widespread rain and storms chances for Thursday and Friday. 

This cold front will also likely bring cooler weather heading into next weekend, although likely not as chilly as the weather from this weekend. 

Afternoon highs are expected to drop into the 60s by next Saturday.
