Forecast: Cooler than average for the first day of astronomical spring

Here are the latest updates from the KVUE Weather Team.

Tuesday is the first day of astronomical spring, but we'll be much cooler than average for this time of the year! Tuesday morning will start in the 40s, and then the afternoon will only reach the mid 60s under a mostly cloudy sky.

Wednesday will also be on the cool side with 40s and 50s in the morning, and afternoon highs in the mid to upper 60s.

Our next chance for rain and storms rolls in Wednesday night into Thursday morning. It won't be a situation where everyone gets rain, but where storms form they could be on the strong side. The Storm Prediction Center already includes most of our KVUE area in the level 1 risk. Hail and strong winds will likely be the main concerns.

Temperatures will be warmer for late week and this weekend with highs close to 80 degrees. The weekend will be dry, but then the next chance for rain and storms will arrive early next week.
