Man diving in Lake Travis dies after failing to resurface, according to EMS

A man diving on Lake Travis died after he failed to resurface.

A diver drowned at Lake Travis on Thursday. EMS were not able to revive the man.

AUSTIN, Texas — Austin-Travis County EMS responded to a water rescue after a report of a diver that failed to resurface. 

ATCEMS tweeted Thursday afternoon the rescue took place near 700 Hurst Creek Road, which is along Lake Travis.

According to EMS, the adult male was retrieved from the water and CPR was administered.

After delivering CPR for 35+ minutes, the man was pronounced dead on the scene by EMS.
