CEDAR PARK, Texas — A car chase in Cedar Park ended with three people fleeing the scene while the driver was the only person apprehended by police. Now, authorities are trying to track down the people who got away.
Cedar Park police said the chase happened Saturday night after police attempted to pull over a vehicle with four people inside of it. Instead of pulling over, police said the vehicle sped off and eventually crashed at 900 Prize Oak, near North Lakeline Boulevard and West Whitestone Boulevard.
Police said the driver was taken into custody for questioning but the other three passengers ran off. Authorities said they used K9s and a helicopter to track them down.
Police told KVUE they couldn't provide physical descriptions of the suspects, but added that they don't consider them a danger to the public.
Authorities said they're interested in learning why the passengers ran off.
