Deputy rescued from top of vehicle after getting stuck in Marble Falls low water crossing

Fire officials rescued a deputy who got stuck in high water in Marble Falls.

MARBLE FALLS, Texas — A Travis County deputy was rescued Wednesday morning after getting stuck in high water in Marble Falls, according to the Travis County Sheriff's Office.

The incident happened at a low water crossing in the 24600 block of Ranch Road 1431 at 7:30 a.m., according to the sheriff's office. The deputy got on top of the vehicle before help arrived.

About 20 minutes later, the sheriff's office confirmed that the deputy was rescued by fire officials. The vehicle the deputy was driving was still stuck in the water as of 7:50 a.m.
