Texas Game Warden investigating fatal Lake LBJ boat crash

The deadly crash happened at Lake LBJ Saturday around 8 a.m.

BURNET COUNTY, Texas — The Texas Game Warden is investigating after a fatal crash Saturday morning on Lake Lyndon B. Johnson.

The single-vessel crash occurred around 8 a.m. on the Colorado River arm of the lake, according to the Game Warden. The deceased was identified as 56-year-old Debra Stribling of Richmond, Texas.

According to Texas Parks and Wildlife, Stribling sustained fatal injuries after crashing into a bulkhead and a boathouse near the Legends Golf Course. She was pronounced dead on scene by a Burnet County Justice of the Peace.

Officials said the Texas Game Warden STORM boating accident reconstruction team is assisting with the investigation.
