TAYLOR, Texas — Families in Taylor are fighting to get a former principal back on the job.
Rosemary Kelly worked at Legacy Early College High School this year. But she lost her job after confronting the Taylor Independent School District which allowed a student who made a terroristic threat back on campus.
The student was charged, but she was later allowed to return to the campus and continue the school year, parents and students said. She said she asked the district for extra resources to help take care of the student's special needs.

Taylor ISD said Kelly was fired because of issues with her performance.
Concerned parents have now launched a petition, demanding the district reinstate Kelly. It has more than 400 signatures.
