AUSTIN — An Austin restaurant chain could soon see a boost in business thanks to Oprah Winfrey.
First it was Weight Watchers. And now, the media mogul is investing in Austin's True Food Kitchen, a restaurant that combines "delicious dining and conscious nutrition," according to their website.
"Here's to a great future together," Oprah said in the announcement posted on True Food Kitchen's Instagram July 12. "Fresh ingredients, true food for the true you. Yay team."
She's making an undisclosed investment in the healthy restaurant chain, according to the announcement. Winfrey will also join the company's board of directors and act as a consultant.
"We're proud and incredibly excited to welcome @oprah to the True Food Kitchen family as an investor and board member...and lucky for us, she's pretty excited herself!" the restaurant posted.
