At around 10:40 a.m. May 13, the Austin Fire Department tweeted that officials were responding to Twin Falls where a caller reported a body underwater. Then, around 11 a.m., officials confirmed that a body was found.

Austin fire and EMS crews were on scene for several hours assessing the situation. Austin police took over the investigation and ended up roping off the Twin Falls entrance once the information was confirmed.

Then a couple hours later, the Austin police dive team came out and recovered the body. A man who was out there when the body was first reported said the area under Twin Falls can be dangerous.

"There's a lot of underwater trees and rocks and even though you think you're jumping into water, you don't know how deep it is underneath,” said Craig Kuczynski, visiting Twin Falls.

Police have not released any more details about the investigation.
