Multiple fires north of Bastrop have been put out Thursday afternoon, fire officials confirmed to KVUE.

The Bastrop County Office of Emergency Management said there were six different fires from Suzanne Drive to Bluebonnet Drive to Sage Road, spanning about four miles. The fires, which officials said appeared to have been caused by a tire or chain drag, were put out at around 1:15 p.m. after five fire trucks responded to the scene.

Multiple buildings were in danger at the fire near Suzanne Drive, but crews were able to put it out before flames reached them. There were no injuries or evacuations, officials said.

"As it gets hotter and dryer, take the time to check your chains to ensure that they are not dragging and causing sparks," BCOEM said on their Facebook page.
