George H.W. Bush moves from ICU to regular patient room

According to Bush's office, he is even more focused on the Houston Rockets finishing their playoffs series than he is about what landed him in the hospital!

HOUSTON — HOUSTON -- Good news!

President George H. W. Bush has been moved from from the intensive care unit at the Houston Methodist Hospital to a regular patient room, according to a statement from Bush's office.

Bush is expected to continue his recovery there for several more days. Bush's office says his doctors are very pleased with his progress and he is alert and talking to hospital staff, family and friends.

Bush is even in good spirits, as he is focuses on the Houston Rockets finishing their playoff series.

The statement continued to say in part, "President Bush naturally thanks everyone for their prayers and good wishes. He also wants to assure everyone that, as good as he feels now, he is more focused on the Houston Rockets closing out their playoff series against the Minnesota Timberwolves than anything that landed him in the hospital."
