SPICEWOOD, Texas -- A man who fell approximately 20 feet on the 3000 block of Cliff Overlook near Pace Bend Park around 5 p.m. Tuesday suffered serious injuries, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.
The man, in his 50s, was transported across the lake by boat after a "high angle rescue" took place, ATCEMS said. The patient was then transported by STAR Flight to Dell Seton Medical Center.
There was a slope evacuation which was completed after 15 minutes, ATCEMS reported.
The man's injuries are not expected to be life threatening.
