GEORGETOWN, Texas -- A woman has died after she collided with a gravel hauler in Georgetown Tuesday.
At 11:46 a.m., the driver of an 18-wheeler told police he was traveling southbound on Ronald Reagan Boulevard when a passenger car slowed down, pulled on the right shoulder and abruptly attempted to make a U-turn directly in front of the truck.
The 18-wheeler struck the driver's side of the car, killing the driver, police said. Authorities identified the driver as Seniqua Nakita Pittmon, a 47-year-old woman from Florida.
Police said the driver of the gravel truck suffered from minor injuries and refused medical care.
