Austin Tango Blast gang member added to Texas Most Wanted list

A known Austin gang member has been added to the Texas Department of Safety's 10 Most Wanted Fugitives list.

AUSTIN -- The Texas Department of Public Safety announced Wednesday that known Austin gang member Paulo Sandalio Guillen, 31, has been added to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives list, with a $7,500 cash reward for information leading to his capture.

According to the DPS, Guillen is affiliated with a clique of the Tango Blast gang and is wanted for parole violation and felon in possession of a firearm. He has been wanted since August 2017 and has ties to Austin (his last known address), San Antonio and Houston.

In March 2010, Guillen was convicted of aggravated assault and burglary of a habitation in Travis County. The DPS said his criminal history also includes unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, possession of prohibited weapons, and possession of marijuana.

Guillen was described as being 5 feet 8 inches tall and approximately 160 pounds. DPS said he has tattoos of a star on the right side of his head and on his lower right leg; "512" behind his right ear; "44" on his upper left cheek; a teardrop on his upper right cheek; and numerous other tattoos on his arms, neck, shoulders and chest.

To be eligible for the Texas Crime Stoppers reward, tipsters must provide information using one of the following methods:

- Call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477).

- Text the letters “DPS” – followed by your tip – to 274637 (CRIMES) from your cell phone.

- Submit a web tip through the DPS website by selecting the fugitive you have information about, and then clicking on the link under their picture.

- Submit a Facebook tip by clicking the “SUBMIT A TIP” link (under the “About” section).

- Submit a tip through the DPS Mobile App. The app is currently available for iPhone users on the Apple App Store and for Android users on Google Play.

All tips are guaranteed to remain anonymous.
