Missing Austin woman found safe, police say

The 30-year-old missing Austin woman has been found and is safe.

UPDATE: A 30-year-old Austin woman who was reported missing in early March has been found and is safe, police said March 20.

The Austin Police Department was asking for the public's help in finding 30-year-old Lindsay Rodriguez, who was using the alias name Dani Okiefe.

On March 9, officers responded to a missing person call at 6280 McNeil Driver after receiving reports of the garage door being open for days. Police also found the front and back doors to the apartment were unsecured and it appeared Lindsay Rodriguez had left in a hurry.

Police said they found her vehicle Thursday, March 15 at the Pavilion Park and Ride off U.S. 183.

Although no foul play was suspected, there was concern for Rodriguez's welfare since she had been missing for several days.

Rodriguez is described as:

  • White female
  • 30 years of age
  • 5’9”
  • 125 lbs
  • Brown hair
  • Green eyes

Police ask anyone with information to call 9-1-1 or Region 2 detectives at 512-974-5547. You can also submit tips by downloading APD's mobile app for free.

Rodriguez's mother, Marilyn Miller, lives in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and said Rodriguez is the mother of two boys -- one 4-year-old and one 9-year-old.

The boys live with their father, Rodriguez's ex-husband.

Miller said she is praying her daughter is found safe and asked the Austin community to report anything that might help officers.

"Lindsay has a very supportive family and we all love her very much," said Miller. "Which is what I told her the last time I saw her. I just reminded her how much she is very much loved and her boys need her."

Miller said the last time she texted her was approximately February 4.

She said her daughter now has brown, pixie cut hair and moved to Central Texas for the Air Force.

"I pray that she is alive," Miller said. "If anybody has any clue or you (have) any idea at all, please just call 911 or the missing person unit. Lindsay has a very supportive family and we all love her very much."
