The Austin Police Department gained a new furry four-legged friend on Thursday.

Her name is Mallory.

Mallory is an emotional support therapy dog from the non-profit organization, Therapy Pet Pals of Texas. The bearded collie spent her Thursday doing what she does best -- putting smiles on people's faces.

Austin PD tweeted pictures of Mallory's visit Thursday afternoon.

"APD chiefs were excited to meet Mallory, an emotional support therapy animal from Therapy Pet Pals of Texas! Mallory is a bearded collie and is an expert at making people smile and feel at ease. #AustinPD #TherapyDog #ATX," the department wrote in the tweet.

Mallory visited various different units in the APD headquarters.

It seems fair to say this adorable bearded collie had just as much fun as the police department did.
